The transformer’s magnetic core is a critical component that forms the foundation of energy conversion and directly affects the transformer’s no-load losses, efficiency, noise level, and vibration performance.

At Deltasan’s, magnetic cores are manufactured from low-loss cold-rolled, grain-oriented (CRGO) electrical silicon steels. The thickness and grade of the core steel to be used are determined according to the transformer’s design specifications, guaranteed no-load losses, and the customer’s technical requirements.

High-quality materials such as M3, M4, M5, MOH, ZDKH85, ZDKH95, and amorphous steel may be used in core production. This enables the provision of magnetic core solutions suitable for different power and performance requirements.

Precision Cutting and Core Assembly

As part of a highly precise manufacturing process, the core steel used in the magnetic circuit is cut to the required dimensions using CNC-controlled cutting machines and stored under appropriate conditions.

The magnetic circuit is formed by assembling the cut steel sheets. The step-lap core construction technique applied in core production at Deltasan’s helps reduce losses in the magnetic circuit and improve the core’s operating performance.

With this manufacturing method, the aim is to keep no-load losses, noise levels, and vibrations at the lowest possible levels.
