Transformer Tanks

Transformer tanks are essential components that contribute to the safe and long-lasting operation of transformers by protecting the active parts and the insulation system from external environmental conditions.

At Deltasan, high-quality and durable paint systems suitable for the operating conditions are used for the surface protection of transformer tanks. As standard, the tanks are coated with one coat of primer and one coat of topcoat, resulting in a total dry film thickness of at least 105 µm. Depending on customer requirements and operating conditions, additional coats of paint may also be applied.

The standard colour is RAL 7033 (Concrete Grey). However, production can be carried out in different RAL colours depending on project and customer requirements.

Both dip coating and spray coating methods may be used in the painting processes. The paints and coating materials applied are selected to ensure resistance to long-term use, atmospheric conditions and environmental effects.

Depending on requirements and customer technical specifications:

Paint applications with different film thicknesses,

Different colour options,

Zinc coating applications,

Hot-dip galvanising and other alternative surface protection solutions can also be provided.
